CMOS and Bord Gáis Energy – Helping to Optimise Cashflow
Service Portfolio
Bord Gáis Energy, (BGE), is a mass market supplier of electricity and gas and is owned by Centrica, a multinational energy services and solutions business with a presence in Europe and the US. BGE supplies over 700,000 homes and businesses in Ireland and is the second largest supplier in the country.
CMOS, in conjunction with its partner business Hugh J Ward and Co Solicitors, (HJW&CO), has been providing a full collection and debt recovery service to BGE for several years in respect of off-supply debtors. A key feature of the service has been continuous improvement through working closely with BGE and dynamic deployment of technology to forensically focus on customer profile and behaviour.
What has CMOS delivered for Bord Gáis Energy ?
CMOS’ business is about helping to minimise our clients’ working capital requirements. CMOS’ service has focused on delivering on agreed KPIs, while continuously seeking to enhance the service, informed by analysis of debtor behaviour and deployment of a dynamic multimedia chase path. The recent addition of a Field Engagement Service has facilitated remediation of previously non-engaging accounts via direct engagement at the customer’s location. This has further improved premium collection rates, while prioritising customer welfare and protection of BGE’s reputation
Why is BGE partnered with CMOS ?
CMOS has developed a bespoke solution for BGE and has adapted the service model to emulate the relationship which exists between BGE and its customers. A nuanced win-win approach to communication with debtors has been a significant factor in establishing consistently high collection rates. CMOS’ end to end offering, including, as necessary, field engagement and legal recovery (in conjunction with HJWCO ), provides a premium one-stop-shop for BGE.
